Who are the Charlotte Cobras?

 

Cobras Football is comprised of members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Charlotte Fire Department, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Concord Police Department, Monroe Fire Department, York County SC Sheriff's Office, Medic and other area public safety agencies.

 

The Charlotte Cobras are a non-profit organization and compete in the National Public Safety Football League. 

 

Am I eligible to play for the Charlotte Cobras?

 

• Player eligibility is determined by the National Public Safety Football League (NPSFL) Eligibility Committee. To be eligible, you must be full time City, County or State sworn peace officer. Full time firefighters and paramedics (municipal) are eligible as well. Federal Agents (FBI, DEA, ATF, etc.) are also eligible under league eligibility rules.

I'm in the military, am I eligible?
 

• Military personnel are eligible if their permanent M.O.S. is Military Police, Military Firefighter or Medic. Military personnel must have their Player Biography and Waiver accompanied by a letter confirming their M.O.S. signed by their commanding officer.
